The Business Partners Relations Team announced a new initiative called BPHangoutswithALANYC or Hangouts, in August. This initiative replaces the previous award-winning Foot In the Door program and was created on the premise that members get to know our Business Partners on a social level, in an environment that is both fun and entertaining. The first Hangout was a mouth-watering tour of cheese! Presented by Times Square level Business Partner Erik Hodgetts of IA Interior Architects, this Hangout was held on September 20^th from 6pm to 8pm in their offices at 100 Broadway, NYC.

The team is working on firming up the second event for November, with events to occur every other month.

The future looks bright! Here’s what’s on the horizon:

November 27 – Two ways to give back:  ALANYC will be running a full day of giving online, from 12:01 AM on November 27^th to 11:59 PM to benefit the children of the Urban Debate League of New York City (UDL). Donating to these Great Debaters will help to offset expenses related to debate venues, snacks, travel, and more. Studies show that a high percentage of these Great Debaters enjoy immense success in college and many go on to law school, work in private practice, the judiciary, academia and more.  Donate here.  And/or join your colleagues and Business Partners after work for an in-person charity event from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Executive Conference Center, 1601 Broadway, 6th Floor, New York, NY 10019.  Click here to register.  Member Fee: $25  Guest Fee: $25 Business Partner: $25

Returning this year will be the Chapter’s Winter Party. The date will be announced the first week of December.
